A Little Humor (11/13/2023)

My husband and I have a lot coming at us. We have so much filling our brain space every day that I am not sure how we keep anything straight at this point. When there is time, we will usually try to check in with each other during the day. One day last week, my husband texted me. I was in a meeting, so I didn’t respond right away. Here is how the text exchange went:

Husband: Hi, Babe!

Husband: How’s your day going?

[40 minutes go by]

Husband: It’s going okay.

Husband: A little bit easier than yesterday, but still okay.

Husband: I probably sent you a message when you were in a call, huh?

Me (trying to quickly catch up on the conversation): Are you answering your own question?

Me: I am confused.

Me: Also, I can’t talk now. Love you!

Husband: LOL. Bye, Love you!

I am still not even sure what happened here. As you can tell, we are fine. Everything is fine. 🤣

If this isn’t an excellent example of how our brains are doing, then I don’t know what is.

I was working with my cousin around the time of this text exchange, so I told her the story. It was right after I told her about a similar story from the previous weekend. We laughed so hard that my face hurt.

When my husband came home from work, we laughed at ourselves and our life.

And, I am still laughing about it today. I am so grateful for these moments that provide some humor.

Brutal. Brains that are at capacity.

Beautiful. Laughing with some of my favorite people.

Just another day of . . . This Brutiful Life: The Brutal & Beautiful Moments of My Life.
